Rope for Hope 2017
Make-A-Wish Rope for Hope is a unique challenge event that calls on participants to fundraise in exchange for a once-in-a-lifetime experience to rappel down the edge of the tallest sculpture in the UK - the ArcelorMittal Orbit at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Event participants will rappel alongside an amazing group of people including wish parents, Make-A-Wish corporate supporters and volunteers. Participants are each required to raise a minimum of £300 to take part alongside a registration fee of £25. Participants can take part in a variety of ways: as individuals, in teams, or as part of a colleague group.
From the 262ft top of the Orbit, participants will experience incredible views that includes iconic buildings such as St Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben, The Gherkin, The Shard, Canary Wharf and Wembley Stadium and the world-famous sporting venues of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park where the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games took place.
Before stepping over the edge, professional abseil instructors will provide a comprehensive safety briefing and all the specialist equipment required for your challenge.

Why support Make-A-Wish?
Taking part in the inaugural Rope for Hope will help grant life-changing wishes for children like Oliver. 6 year old Oliver has already been through 3 major operations, including open-heart surgery. He's a huge Star Wars fan and was so happy when we granted his wish to train to be a Jedi and take on Darth-Maul!
