Whether your an individual or with a group of friends, fundraising is a great way to help us grant magical wishes to seriously ill children. Below are some of the ways you can get involved.
To get started, please register your fundraising plans with us. When you register, we'll send you our fundraising toolkit which is packed with helpful information. And one of our Fundraising Managers will be in touch to give you all the support you need with getting your fundraising off the ground.
Organise an event
From a family fun day to a black tie dinner – there are lots of ways to get people together to help us grant more wishes.
If you need some inspiration, take a look at our A to Z of fundraising ideas. If you'd like to hold a quiz, then we have a quiz package that we'll send you when you register with us. Or why not join hundreds of other supporters by holding a Bake-A-Wish event, selling yummy cakes to raise funds to help us grant wishes?
If you need any advice, we're here to help. Visit the local contacts page to contact your local Fundraising Manager, or give us a call on 0118 304 2775.
Form a fundraising group
Fundraising groups can be made up of friends, colleagues, family members – or just a group of like-minded people who want to help us grant magical wishes. The more the merrier!
Working as part of a team isn’t just a way of getting help with organising events – it’s also a great way to socialise and share ideas. If you’d like to work with others to put on fundraising events in your local area, putting together a fundraising group could be for you. Call us on 0118 304 2775 or email email@example.com to get started.
Collecting tins and moneyboxes
Collect loose change and help us grant more wishes!
If you're the owner of a shop, why not keep a collection tin on the counter? Not only will the money help us grant wishes – it's also a great way of raising awareness in your local community. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request your free collection tin.
You can also order one of our moneyboxes to collect loose change at home. Email email@example.com or call 0118 304 2775 and we'll pop you one in the post. Each box holds £12-£16 – all you'll need to do is bank the coins and send us a cheque in the post. You can even fill in your details to allow us to claim Gift Aid on the money raised – that's even more money to help us grant wishes.
Holding a street collection can be a great way to raise money, and fantastic for raising awareness.
Before starting, please give us a call on 0118 304 2775 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest. We can then provide you with a letter of authority and collecting tins and stickers, to help you fundraise legally and safely. You'll also need to call your local council for advice and to apply for a collection licence. Please note that children and young people under 16 must not approach strangers for money – and we don't allow our supporters to knock door-to-door.
Take on a challenge
From marathons and mud runs, to triathlons and treks, we've got loads of events you can take on. Challenge yourself whilst raising money for us to grant more wishes – click here to see what events you can take part in.
