Schools fundraising for wishes
Methodist Junior and Infant School Cycling Fundraiser
To celebrate the Tour de Yorkshire passing through Wakefield, Methodist Junior and Infant School put on a week-long cycling fundraising event.
Kids brought their bikes in to cycle around the school’s grounds, and adults took on a sponsored cycle on exercise bikes the distance of the Tour de Yorkshire! As well as raising a whopping £2,536, this fantastic challenge lead to more pupils cycling into school.
Clyde Valley High School’s Record-Breaking Charities Week
Clyde Valley High School raised a staggering £7,300 with a week of record-breaking fun!
Pupils helped fundraise for us in lots of different ways – from car washing to a sponsored walk, and even a Pyjamathon. Lots of fun was had at Clyde Valley’s own take on ‘The Voice’, ‘Take Me Out’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, which brought in some big crowds – and cash!
One brave pupil volunteered to have her head shaved, and the ‘Gunge a Teacher’ finale was the perfect end to a fun-filled week!
