Text WISH to 70111 to donate £3 a month
John Middleton
Bone cancer
I wish to have a VIP shopping spree at the Lego® store

John's wish has now been fully fundraised thanks to his kind supporters. You will receive an update on John's wish once it has taken place.

John, aged 8 from Hull, is fighting bone cancer. His One True Wish is to go on a Lego® shopping spree in London. He will be having a fun-filled day in London, all arranged by Wishgranter Dan. He will be arriving in style in a limo, eating out at his favourite restaurant and staying overnight.

John was diagnosed last year with Osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. His mum, Sarah, told us that “he struggled through treatment with not being able to be a ‘normal boy'.”

He broke his leg across his thighbone (femur) so John was unable to keep a cast on it meaning he was bedbound for five months. He coped really well and went through many arts and crafts sets!

John went through 11 months of chemotherapy and he found it tough missing out on time with his family, friends and school. John’s condition means he’s restricted day to day, he cannot play football or play on the trampoline.

John cannot wait for his wish; he is most excited about visiting the biggest Lego ® store in the UK and using the mosaic machine!

John will still need regular operations on the metalwork in his leg for leg lengthening.

Sponsor John’s One True Wish today and be part of his life-changing journey.

Transport £720; Expenses £500; Accommodation £320; Meals £120; Tour £50; Total £1,710

To ensure no child is kept waiting unnecessarily for their wish, the funds you donate may not be spent directly on this specific wish. But rest assured, your money will be spent on wishgranting costs to help us grant a wish to one of the hundreds of children who will turn to us this year. All costs shown are illustrative – they are the estimates we use for our own budgeting purposes and may vary from the final costs paid. All children listed will receive their wish – if insufficient funds are raised through this site we will use general raised funds.
